// The Manual

Every cart
tells a story.

We started Cartridge in a Portland basement with three Rubbermaid bins full of dusty carts and a UV light for spotting fakes. Eight years later, the bins are glass cases, but the obsession is the same: every game that leaves here is exactly what it says it is.

We grade every piece ourselves — no third-party labs, no mystery lots. When we say CIB 9.0, we mean the manual has all its pages, the box has four sharp corners, and the cartridge label hasn't seen a sharpie. We photograph every flaw before it ships.

Speedrunners trust us because we test saves. Parents trust us because we price honestly. Collectors trust us because we've been wrong once, and we ate the cost without a second thought.

Found a CIB Earthbound here after five years of searching. The grade was exactly right — manual was pristine, no sun fade on the box. These people actually know what they're looking at.

Bought a Genesis Model 1 for my son — same one I had in '92. It arrived cleaned, recapped, and running cooler than my original ever did. The nostalgia hit harder than I expected.

I'm a speedrunner and I only trust original hardware. Cartridge tested every save slot on my N64 carts, documented the battery health, and shipped same-day. That's the standard.

The grading guide on their site is what sold me. It's honest — they call out their own flaws in the photos. Cart Only is labeled Cart Only. No inflated grades, no surprises.
